Lapis Lazuli (or Lazurite) is one of the oldest gemstones and is a wonderful dark blue-coloured stone which is mottled with white (calcite) and gold tones (pyrite). This beautiful stone was known to the ancient Egyptians as the “Sky Stone” and was often found in their jewellery. The stone is associated with the 6th chakra or third eye and is thought to enhance wisdom, inner vision and mental clarity and is said to enhance the feeling of self-acceptance.
